Welcome to Wellness Hub.

I will try to keep this short and sweet! By sharing a little bit more about me hopefully you will understand the purpose of Wellness Hub and my motive for going outside the lines when it comes to health and wellbeing.

I have not always been focussed on creating health. Quite the opposite, I worked myself into the ground.
I worked for ten years leading marketing for companies in Energy, Sustainability and Technology. I also have a degree in Global Business Studies with Spanish and a Post Grad in Digital Marketing.
Although I loved the work I did, my whole life centered around my career and I found myself in a very difficult place - with burnout and chronic illness.
Running around at a million miles per hour, working 16 hour days, answering emails in the middle of the night, travelling and waking up just thinking about work. I was working like a crazy person and all because I wanted to feel successful. But I can see now that behaviour was so far from success.
I was anxious all of the time, extremely stressed, living off coffee and only sleeping 4 - 5 hours per night, or as much as my anxiety would let me.
During a period of two years I suffered from high blood pressure, heart palpitations and digestive issues. And at times I was so nervous I simply could not eat.
And it was only a matter of time before my body stepped in and brought things to a screeching halt.
I was diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease, tinnitus, hypothyroid, leaky gut, hormonal imbalances, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, high levels of heavy metals and nervous system dysregulation. The list felt endless and I was very unwell.
And it wasn’t just my physical health that suffered, but my mental health too.
I desperately wanted to find a quick fix, a cure all to my health problems.
I had become so accustomed to a world of instant everything that I believed I could amazon my health back too!
Taking a step back and approaching things at a slower pace has changed my life. My health started to improve and I have now found the treatment for issues I was told I would have to live with.

From this I have I realized how important it is to take responsibility for my own health and wellbeing.
I realised how to listen to my intuition, which is essentially what pushed me to find answers when many specialists had none.
I realised that we’re all so different. What works for me might not work for you.
And most importantly I realised that it is the small habits that you make that will result in long lasting change to your health and wellbeing.
Health is everything and prevention is better than cure.
I’ve spent the past two years studying different diets and lifestyles, I’ve read every self development book I could get my hands on, received treatment from a Doctor of Naturopathic medicine and signed up for a lot of other modalities Life Coaching, Talk Therapy, Acupuncture, Energy Healing, Oxygen therapy and more.
There is nothing I am more passionate about than the topic of Natural Health and so the next natural step for me was to study with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to get my Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching certification.

We live in a stressful world and it seems people are suffering with their health more than ever. I now offer one to one Health Coaching, as well as Corporate wellness plans and advice for Employee Wellbeing.
The content on my website is backed by research and experience too. It is written as a guide only but hopefully can help for figuring out what works for you and your wellbeing.
